Technical principles of plasma welding and TIG welding

1. plasma welding:

Plasma Welding uses a high-temperature plasma arc for welding. Plasma arc is generated through the plasma torch in the high temperature arc heating working gas (such as argon or helium), will be ionised to form a plasma. The plasma has a high temperature and high energy density, which can quickly melt the metal and form a weld. 2. TIG welding:

Tig Welding uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and inert gas (such as argon) to protect the arc. During the welding process, the tungsten electrode produces an arc between the workpiece and the electrode, and the high-temperature arc melts the metal to form a weld.TIG welding is widely used in the welding of various metal materials with its advantages of high weld quality, no spatter, and a wide range of applicability, and is especially suitable for welding thin plates and precision workpieces.

Advantages:

Disadvantages:

TIG Welding

Advantages:

   - Suitable for welding thin plates and precision workpieces, flexible process, can be welded a variety of complex shapes.

3. Wide welding range:

   - Can weld almost all metal materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, copper, etc., widely used in various industries.

4. lower equipment costs:

Disadvantages:

1. slower welding speed:

   - Due to the dispersion of the heat source, the welding speed is relatively slow and the productivity is low.

2. High requirements for operating technology:

3. Large heat-affected zone:

   - When welding thicker materials, the heat-affected zone is larger, which may lead to material deformation.
